Meet Simone & Robyne
We're the mother and daughter behind Florence May. We created an "old school" lingerie boutique: soft, feminine and welcoming, where you always feel relaxed and in the most experience hands.
About Simone
Before opening Florence May, Simone spent her career supporting women after breast cancer treatment as a lymphoedema therapist in private practice and major Sydney cancer centres. She holds a degree in Health Science and is a trained bra fitter specialising in mastectomy bras, breast forms and compression garments. She moved to Mudgee in 2022 and opened Florence May.
About Robyne
Robyne has had a long career in human resources and has managed a fashion boutique in Sydney before moving to Mudgee over 8 years ago, where she discovered there was no specialty lingerie boutique in the region. A trained bra fitter, she loves nothing more than seeing a woman thrilled with a bra that finally fits.
Florence May - the lady behind the name
Florence May was Robyne's mum and Simone's grandmother. Born in 1920, she left her small country town near Dubbo at 19 to try her luck in Sydney. She became Head Fashion Buyer for a major Sydney department store and ran her own ladies' fashion boutique well into her 70s. Elegant to the end, her hair and make-up were perfect even in her 90s. Her legacy lives on in every fitting.
